DAV Pub. School Dehra came into existence in the year 1985 to cater the needs of children who were living in the area of Dehra Sub-division. That time most of the employees of this area were serving in defence & at times their families were migrated from place to place. Mostly their wards received education in CBSE institutions & moreover there was no CBSE affiliated institution with in the radius of 50km. In order to provide quality education eminent educationist, philanthropist & staunch Arya Samaji of the area took initiative to mobilize their resources with the help of most generous & altruistic people to bring this institution in the anal of DAV educational history. The school is working under the aegis of DAV organization whose pillars are Sh. Poonam Suri President DAV CMC , Sh. Prabodh Mahajan Chairman, Sh. M.L. Shekhri Vice chairman, Mrs. P. Sofat Regional Director , Sh. R.K. Ohri Manager & other members of local managing committee. At present school is affiliated to CBSE and imparting instructions from Nur. to 12th standard in both Medical & Non-Medical stream. Today we feel proud to say that the long journey of the school has produced eminent scholars who have been serving in various fields be it medicine, engineering, civil services, judiciary, armed forces, colleges etc. i.e. both in public & private sectors. The school had a modest beginning from a local temple with 50 children and at present the strength gone to 1500 in a decent infrastructure equipped with highly educated & trained faculty, enriched library, science labs, computer lab, playground, multimedia hall, wi-fi campus, smart class rooms & playing equipments. The school has fleet of 09 buses plying to different directions for transporting the young aspirants.
